Open one of the included IAR projects for your Kinetis target and select the proper build configuration. This is necessary to ensure that the IDE is aware of the processor and debugger for the target.
Navigate to Project > Download > Download file....
In the pop-up dialog, locate your file (.out extension). Click OK and wait until it the task finishes.
Once finished, you might need to manually reset the target to get the application running.
